Adoka River waterfalls - Zombo District
The Adoka River streams through Zombo district in area known as Paduba parish in kango Sub County bordering Arua District. The river is known to be the ancestral place for Alur people. Its commonly remembered by so many elders as a hiding place for the elderly during the British reign in Africa.

Elders everytime the bazungu came in area to fight they could hide in CAVE just below the waterfalls and could spend their days or even weeks. They used to cook, sleep and even hold meetings with their people in the cave. This secret hide out was once attacked and a daughter of Palei known as Okidu was captured and then taken to Mbarara. Palei’s daughter had a Lugbra mother
The place is very beautiful for tourist attraction and some elders say there is leopard in the area though is rarely seen.

Visit Zombo district today and enjoy the beautiful sceneries.
